B.Y.B. offers you the interpersonal communication skills to become more assertive, less (passive) aggressive, and less permissive, to live up to your full potential and build and maintain good relationships with others. The communication and conflict resolution skills you will learn will help you take more responsibility for your life and unlock the power to improve your relationships at home and work. Once learned and practiced, these skills will become an integral part of your day-to-day communication in all your relationships. How the Program Works This Be Your Best Course on Zoom will have 6-10 participants and is facilitated by a Master Trainer Meike Lemmens with 10+ years of experience. We meet for 9 weeks, once a week, 3-hour sessions each. We have a review and graduation class #10 one month after the program ends. The groups are purposely small so that we can communicate effectively on Zoom with one another and have enough time for individual challenges and questions. The cost of this B.Y.B. Course on Zoom is $295 Individuals ($440 couples discount) PLUS a $45 materials fee. The next Be Your Best Online Course starts: Sunday morning Sept 8th - Nov 3rd 2024* 9:00am - 12:00pm PACIFIC TIME. * Plus Review/Graduation Session #10 in Dec TBD; What You Will Learn
How You Will Benefit
B.Y.B. vs. P.E.T. There is overlap between Be Your Best (B.Y.B.) and Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) in terms of the communication skills and conflict resolution method taught. However, the B.Y.B. approach is also different because we focus more on you, and your needs, instead of on your children. We teach you how to say NO without feeling guilty, how to be less aggressive and less non-assertive, how to deal with anxiety as well as anger, and to set goals to have more control over your life and becoming more fulfilled. Who is Be Your Best for? Be Your Best is for couples and any individual (not just parents)! It is also perfect for couples who want to learn to communicate better to one another, small business owners, and other individuals who could use an assertiveness training. If you have graduated from Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.), this B.Y.B. course is a fantastic refresher as well as follow up program. Who Developed B.Y.B.? Be Your Best is developed by Linda Adams - President of Gordon Training International, wife and partner of the late Dr. Thomas Gordon.
